THURLOW, LAWRENCE MASON ''LARRY'' Lawrence Mason Thurlow was born in Portland on May 29, 1915, and passed away Dec. 11, 2003. He was 88 years old. He owned and operated Thurlow Glove Co., a family business, for many years. He relocated to San Diego and operated a business there manufacturing motorcycle apparel. He enjoyed composing music, writing poetry, and playing the violin, piano, and viola. He played with the LaJolla Symphony Orchestra while living in San Diego. His wife LaVerne Bliton and he were married June 16, 1997, and she preceded him in death Sept. 19, 2001. At their request they were both cremated and wish to have their cremains scattered in Nehalem Bay. Anyone wishing to participate with the family Dec. 27, 2003, may contact a family member for details. Remembrances to World Vision, P.O. Box 70200, Tacoma, WA 98481. He is survived by his son, Jim Thurlow; daughter, Judy Rask; a stepdaughter, Lisa Rothrock; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
