- In the 1920 census, George W Jungck, 45, lived in Menomonie, Wisconsin, with his wife Alice M, 44, and his two sons, Raymond S, 15, and Thomas B, 11. George was the proprietor of a hardware store. They lived at 1107 Second Street.
In the 1930 census, he, 49, and Ethel, 43, lived in Menomonie, Wisconsin, at 521 2nd Street W. He was the proprietor of a hardware store. Living with them was a maid, 18 year-old Sophia Lever.
Several family trees in Ancestry.com have this George’s birth date as September 1874 which would seem to be correct despite George’s age shown in the 1920 and 1930 censuses. He was the 6 year-old George W Jungck in the 1880 census when his parents lived in Menomonie, Wisconsin. His parents were Peter Jungck and Barbara Miller. Peter was a shoemaker.
He registered for the draft on September 12, 1918, in Menomonie. At that time he was married to Alice and was a hardware dealer. His birthdate was September 18, 1874.
