- Paul Harold Hull, 91, of Austin, died Thursday, June 20, 2002, at his cabin in Canada.
He was born April 8, 1911, at Bunch, Iowa, to Burl and Mattie (Whistler) Hull.
He graduated from Austin High School and worked for Hormel Foods from 1934 to 1944 when he went into the auction business.
In 1935, he married Helen Larson.
He was a charter member of the Austin Lions Club, a member of the Minnesota Auctioneer Association, the Cedar Valley Conservation Club, the Marcellus King EEA Club, Fidelity Lodge #39 AF & AM and Our Saviors Lutheran Church.
An avid fisherman, he also enjoyed flying his plane and running the tractor.
Survivors include wife, Helen Hull, Austin; daughters and son-in-law, Paula DiPiazza, Phoenix, Ariz.; Rosemary and Jack Barrett, Durango, Colo.; son and daughter-in-law, Duane and Beverly Hull, Austin; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Iris Johnson, Austin; Vivian Halstead, Lodi, Calif.; Margaret Hull, Ogden, Utah; Agnes and Jim Kiel, Campbell, Calif.; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, five brothers and one sister.
