According to her marriage record, her parents were Erick Methum and Ingeborg Methum. The Wisconsin Birth and Christenings Index entry for Palmer shows her as Inge Hegstad. She was living with Clarence and Ida at tha time of the 1940 census. Her obit in the La Crosse newspaper had her at age 74. Her survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Clarence Mickelson of Viroqua; one son, Palmer, of Viroqua; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Sarena Hoium of Morris, Minnesota; and one brother, Andrew Mitthun, Fargo, N.D.
