- In the 1950 census, he and Dorothy and Nicholas lived in Lake City in Wabasha County, Minnesota. He was the owner and manager of a well-digging business. Dorothy worked as a bookkeeper for a retail gas company.
He owned a Coast to Coast store in Lake City. He moved to Miami in February of 1954.
An article in the Fort Lauderdale South Florida Sentinel, in its 31 Oct 1993 edition, says that Harvey helped open the first stock brokerage in Pompano Beach in 1956.
In 1966, he patented the Safari gas-fired water cooler for golf courses.
In addition to Nicholas and his wife Dorothy, Harvey was survived eight grandchildren.
