The junior Robert was an auto mechanic. In the 1939 St. Paul city directory, Robert J Busby, wife Margaret, lived at 741 Pelham, apt 2. He was a mechanic at Cudahy Packaging Co. In the 1940 census, Robert J Busby (mis-indexed as Busley) lived in St. Paul with his wife, Margaret. He had lived in the same place in 1935, Margaret had lived in Minneapolis. Robert was an auto mechanic for a wholesale meat dealer. He owned the house that they lived in. The couple had no children. They had two lodgers, Vernon and Angeline Bakken. In the 1948 Fergus Falls city directory, Robert Busby, wife Margaret, live on Rural Route 1. A Robert Busby is listed in the 1953 city directory for Fergus Falls. A Robert Busby died 12 Aug 1953 in Ramsey County. A Robert John Busby, b. 1901, d. Jul, 1962, is buried in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery in Fergus Falls. In Find A Grave, he is the only Busby buried in Otter Tail County.
