  Notes	He entered the Army in September of 1942, He was given an Air Medal in December of 1945 for heroism as an aerial radio operator in the India-China theater in World War II. His father died in Sharon, Pennsylvania, in 1943. His mother, Kathryn Ruckert Dickinson, died in Pittsburgh in July of 1963. Voit Jr. was divorced by Elizabeth K. in 1946. She is the Bess Kenah whom he married in in July of 1940. The announcement of their marriage in the Pittsburgh Press (21 Aug 1940) said that he had served three years in the Army, stationed at Hawaii, and that, while there, he had attended the University of Hawaii.
