  Notes	He was the youngest of 11 children. His obit, in the Herald Times and reproduced on his Find A Grave page: Reuel Thompson, 84, of Rt. 1, Valders, died Wednesday morning at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders. The Rev. Carl Peters will officiate with burial in Our Savior Cemetery, Valders. Mr. Thompson was born Oct. 29, 1892, at rural Reedsville, son of the late Edwin and Anna Aubol Thompson. He attended Fairview School and was a veteran of World War I, serving in France. As a young man he homesteaded in North Dakota for a period of time, returning to the Valders area, where he farmed the rest of his life. He married Esther Harvey Oct. 18, 1919, at Manitowoc. She preceded him in death in 1953. Mr. Thompson was a charter member of American Legion Post 28 of Valders and active member of Viking Bow and Gun Club. He served as clerk for the Town of Liberty for 25 years and was secretary of Faith Lutheran Church Cemetery Assn. Survivors include a son, Dr. Harvey, of Ames, Iowa; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Nicoloff, of Rolling Meadows, Ill., Mrs. Joyce Loritz, of Rt. 1, Valders, and Mrs. Judith Valleskey, of Collins, 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Six brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.
