  Notes	Called Martina in the 1860 census. She and Nels were living in Portage County in the 1900 census. She had had 5 children, 3 still living. She was a widow in the 1880 census. The family was living in the village of Amherst and going by the last name of Buck, at least according to the census entry. Billy, 19, Anna 15, and Nels E., 13, were all living at home with her. Billy was a farmer but none of the rest of them had occupations. Some of the church records for the birth and baptism of her children call her Mathia or Mathea Nilsdatter. An article in the Stevens Point Journal on her death said that she died from breast cancer and was survived by two sons and a daughter.
