He had come to the U.S. in 1879 and had been married to Greta for 19 years. In the 1910 census, he (as Edwin O) and his family live on Second Street in Barnesville. He is now a farmer. Of the children, Ida and Annie have left home. He owns his farm, free of mortgage. In the 1920 census, he (as Engbert) is now a widower. He and the four children who still live with him (Ruth, Agnes, Julian, and Oscar) live on Lexington Avenue in Barnesville. In the 1930 census, he (as Eric O) was still living in Barnesville. Living with him were Oscar and Agnes.
