    Henry B. Quamme, 94, Nerstrand, died Saturday, June 22 at Northfield Hospital. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Vang Lutheran Church, rural Kenyon. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Hanson Funeral Home, Kenyon, and one hour prior to services at the church. Survivors include four sons, Roger and Howard of Nerstrand, Benard of Forest Lake and Russell of Kenyon; two daughters, Mrs. Edsel (Hazel) Anderson of White Rock and Mrs. Michael (Theoline) Stoffregen of Windom; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.

    Hazel Ann (Quamme) Anderson, age 87 of Cannon Falls, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Diamond Rehab and Living Center in Cannon Falls.

    Funeral will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Spring Garden Lutheran Church, 10239 County 1 Blvd, Cannon Falls. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 pm Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Lundberg Funeral Home, 5839 Hwy 19 Blvd, Cannon Falls and also one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

    Hazel Ann Anderson was born on May 16, 1928 to Henry and Anna (Soine) Quamme in Warsaw Township, Goodhue County, Minnesota and later baptized and confirmed at Vang Lutheran Church. Hazel was a graduate of Kenyon High School and after receiving her nursing degree from Franklin School of Nursing, was employed at Mineral Springs Sanitorium as an LPN. Hazel was united in marriage to Edsel Delmer Anderson on October 2, 1948 at Vang Lutheran Church and were longtime residents of White Rock. Hazel was employed for a short time at Midwest Importers as a clerk from 1969-1973. She was a talented seamstress with an eye for home decorating. Hazel and Edsel were active members of Spring Garden Lutheran Church.

    Hazel is survived by her children, Barbara (Bruce) Olson of Magnolia, MN and Bruce Anderson of Cannon Falls; granddaughters, Noël (Casey) Steinert, Holly (Doug) Forster, Heidi Anderson, and Mindy (Pierre) Bekker; great-grandchildren, Cameron and Lauren Steinert, Taylor Hansen, and Pierre and Elizne Bekker; sister, Theoline (Michael) Stoffregen of Windom; brothers, Ben (Jeanne) Quamme of Forest Lake, Howard (Georgia) Quamme of Nerstrand, and Russell Quamme of Kenyon as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edsel and brother, Roger Quamme.

    Roger A. Quamme, age 75 of rural Nerstrand passed away peacefully after a prolonged battle with cancer on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at his home.

    A private memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2010.

    Roger Allen, the son of Henry and Anna (Soine) Quamme, was born June 22, 1934 in Nerstrand. In October of 1979, he married Carol Cramer in Northfield, and she preceded him in death on October 21, 2005. He retired from Hitchcock Industries, Bloomington, in 1999 after working there for 31 years as a smelter. Roger also farmed all of his life raising cattle, chickens and turkeys.

    He is survived by ten children, Keith (and Christie) Quamme of Nerstrand, Kent Miller, Ames, IA, Kraig (and Teri) Quamme of Dundas, Konan Quamme of Mesa, AZ, Debra Quamme of Mesa, AZ, Kim Quamme of Chandler, AZ, Toni (and Ted) Paro of Northfield, Kenneth (and Carol) Cramer of Northfield, Becki LeMire of Circle Pines, and John (and Lynn) Cramer of Northfield; 18 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and five siblings, Benard (and Jeanne) Quamme of Forest Lake, Hazel Anderson of Cannon Falls, Howard (and Georgia) Quamme of Nerstrand, Theoline (and Mike) Stoffregen of Windom, and Russell Quamme of Kenyon.

    He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carol; a daughter, Teresa Quamme; and a brother-in-law, Edsel Anderson.

    Roger married Kaywin Alyce KEISER on 2 Aug 1953 in Goodhue County, Minnesota, and was divorced on 20 Aug 1971 in Goodhue County, Minnesota. Kaywin was born on 23 May 1937 in Ramsey County, Minnesota; died on 27 Jul 2009 in Maricopa County, Arizona. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    Russell Henry Quamme, 72, of Kenyon, died Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Kenyon Sunset Home.

    He was born to Henry and Anna (Soine) Quamme, the youngest of six children, on October 18, 1946 in Faribault, Minnesota. Raised on the family farm north of Kenyon, he attended country school through the third grade, graduated from Kenyon High School in 1965 and Rochester Junior College where he studied Engineering Technology. He was drafted into the United States Army in April, 1968, and served two years as a mail carrier. He was honorably discharged in April, 1970. Russell began working for the U.S. Postal Service in Kenyon in 1971 and retired after 33 ½ years. In his retirement, he was a self-taught computer geek and garden enthusiast. On his computer, he created photo collages, music cd’s and posters. He also enjoyed working with leather (making belts and purses), various art projects (painting, glass etching), loved the outdoors, make maple syrup.

    He is survived by his siblings, Benhard “Ben” (and Jean) Quamme of Forest Lake, Howard (and Georgia) Quamme of Nerstrand and Theoline “Teddy” (and Michael) Stoeffregen of Windom; 9 nieces; 10 nephews and many great nieces and great nephews.

    He was preceded in death by parents, Henry and Anna; brother, Roger Quamme; sister and brother-in-law, Hazel and Edsel Anderson; niece, Theresa Quamme and nephew, Reid Quamme and other relatives and friends.

    Visitation will be at Vang Lutheran Church on Wednesday from 10-11am. A Memorial Service will be held April 17, 2019 at 11am at Vang Lutheran Church with The Reverend Paul Graham officiating. Interment with military honors by the Kenyon Color Guard will be in Vang Lutheran Cemetery.

    Bruce Allen Anderson was born on March 11, 1952 in Red Wing, the son of Edsel and Hazel (Quamme) Anderson. He grew up in the Cannon Falls area, attending elementary school in Vasa and graduating from Cannon Falls High School in 1970.  In April of 1972 Bruce was married to Karen Husaby and they had two daughters. Bruce worked for Lee Chevrolet, Point of Sales, and Leroy McCusker before going to work for Pepsi where he was a truck driver for 25 years, retiring about ten years ago. He was a member of First English Lutheran Church and the Cannon Cruisers, a car club. Bruce was the proud owner of a 1974 Z28 Camaro, which his family still has today. He served as a volunteer with the Cannon Falls Fire Department and as an EMT for over 20 years.

    Survivors include his children Heidi Anderson and Mindy Bekker; grandchildren Taylor Hansen, Pierre Bekker Jr, and Elizne Bekker; sister Barb (Bruce) Olson; former wife Karen Anderson; former son-in-law Pierre Bekker Sr; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents.
