In the 1938 Minneapolis city directory, he is a waiter at 5th Street Lunch. He and Dorothy live at 36 S 12th, apartment 6. That is apparently the same apartment at which his uncle Frank lived in the 1937 Minneapolis directory.

In the 1939 city directory, Eugene is a waiter. He and Dorothy live at 86 Willow.

In the 1940 city directory, Eugene is a counterman at Fifth Street Lunch. He and Dorothy M live at 3815 Boardman Avenue.

In the 1940 census, Eugene and Dorothy and their son Eugene live with her parents, Albert and Myrtle May, at 3815 Boardman Avenue in south Minneapolis. The older Eugene was a high school graduate, Dorothy had had two years of high school. Eugene was a waiter and cook at a restaurant.

He registered for the draft on October 16, 1940, in Minneapolis. He was described as 5 ft 6 in tall, 150 lbs., gray eyes, brown hair, and light complexion. At that time he lived at 3531 Snelling in south Minneapolis. The person who would always know his address was Mrs. Dorothy M. Augustine, same address. His employer was M. J Goldberg, 8 North 5th Street. His address was later changed to 84 Willow Street and then, in an entry added 11/24/1942, 722 South Ford Boulevard in Los Angeles.

In the 1941 city directory, Eugene is still a counterman at Fifth Street Lunch. He and Dorothy M live at 84 Willow.

He is not listed in the 1942 Minneapolis city directory.

In the 1948 Minneapolis city directory, Eugene and Dolores live at 1920 4th Avenue S, the same address as Frank and Mae. Eugene is a template maker at Paper Calmenson & Co in St. Paul.

In the 1950 Minneapolis city directory, he and Dolories E live at 1081 24th Avenue SE. He is a foreman.

In 1986, Eugene F Augustine Sr. lived at 4948 4th St NE in Minneapolis.

According to a MyLife entry, Eugene lived in Pharr, Texas, from 1996 to 2002 and lived in Minneapolis from 2004 to 2009.
