    Angela Stotko Reindl, age 88 of Minnetonka, and formerly of Waverly, died Sunday, Nov. 28, 1999, at her sister's home in Waverly.

    Angela was born in St. Paul on Aug. 6, 1911, the daughter of Joseph C. and Anna (Fautch) Stotko.

    As a young girl, she attended St. Mary's School in Waverly. Angela graduated from Montrose High School in 1930 and later, attended the Minneapolis School of Business. She worked in the State Office Building in St. Paul for six years and moved to Long Beach, Calif. in 1940.

    Angela was joined in holy marriage to William "Bill" Fearon in Los Angeles, Calif., in 1940. Bill preceded his wife in death in 1962.

    On Sept 25, 1965, Angela was joined in holy marriage to Frank Reindl in Long Beach, Calif. Frank preceded his wife in death in 1994.

    For more than 25 years, Angela was employed as a secretary to the president of the Sears store in Long Beach. She and Bill also owned and operated the Fearon Company, which provided Knights of Columbus regalia. Angela continued to operate the company for several years following Bill's death.

    Angela was a former active member of St. Barnabas Parish in Long Beach.

    She is survived by a sister, Gen Henk of Waverly; brothers, Vincent (Faith) Stotko of St. Charles, Mo., and Jerome (Laura) Stotko of Payson, Ariz.; sisters-in-law, Charlene Stotko of Winsted, and Elsie Stotko of St. Cloud; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

    In addition to her husbands, Angela was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Fearon in 1965; her parents, Joseph C. and Anna Stotko; brothers, Laurence, George, Edmond, Bernard "Bud" and Robert "Joe" Stotko; and by a sister, Gertrude Sawatzke.
    A Mass of Christian Burial was Thursday, Dec. 2, 10 a.m., at the Church of St. Mary, Waverly. The Rev. Robert Wiley was the celebrant and interment followed at St. Mary's Cemetery.

    Bill Sawatzke, Greg Stotko, Steve Stotko, Dennis Reindl, Nick Reindl and Mike Reindl served as casket bearers.

    Friends called at the Peterson Chapel, Buffalo, on Wednesday, Dec. 1, from 4 to 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 7 p.m.

    She was born June 2, 1913 in St. Paul, the daughter of Joseph C. and Anna Fautch Stotko.
    Gen graduated from Montrose High School in 1932.

    Genevieve and William C. Henk were joined in holy marriage June 8, 1937 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly. God blessed their marriage with two sons.

    Through the years, Gen was formerly employed at the Waverly Post Office, Brinkton Manufacturing, and later, for many years, at Minnegasco. She was a faithful, lifetime member of the Church of St. Mary in Waverly. Gen also belonged to the auxiliary of American Legion Post 315.

    She is survived by sons Dr. Edward (Suzanne) Henk of Buffalo, and Randy Henk of Waverly; grandchildren Julia (Joseph) Winkelman, William Henk, and Hillary Henk; great-grandchildren Lauren and Keianna Winkelman; a brother, Vincent Stotko of St. Charles, Mo.; two sisters-in-law, Charlene and Laura Stotko; other relatives, and many friends.

    Gen was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Henk, in 1952; her parents, Joseph C. and Anna Stotko; six brothers: Lawrence, George, Edward, Leonard, Robert “Joe,” and Jerome Stotko; and two sisters: Gertrude Sawatzke and Angela Reindl.

    A Mass of Christian Burial was Thursday, Feb. 17 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Mary in Waverly. Father Timothy Cloutier was the celebrant, and special music was provided by Lyne Daniels and Mary Klingelhoets. Interment followed at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

    Friends called at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo Wednesday, Feb. 16 from 4 to 8 p.m. There was a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

    Casket bearers were Steve Stotko, Mike Stotko, Joe Stotko, Joe Winkelman, Larry Gunderson, and Bill Henk.

    William Sawatzke was an honorary casket bearer.

    Lawrence P. "Larry" Sawatzke, age 80 of Crosslake, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday July 29, 2006.

    A funeral Mass will be 12:00 PM Thursday at the Immaculate Heart Catholic Church in Crosslake, MN. Friends may call beginning at 10:00 AM to share memories of Larry and celebrate life at the church on Thursday. Private interment with military honors will be in Pinewood Cemetery.

    Larry was born on October 19, 1925, in Delano MN, the son of Albert and Gertrude (Stotko) Sawatzke. He grew up working on the farm moving from Delano to Maple Lake and then Waverly. After his graduation in 1943, he answered the call to serve his country and joined the Merchant Marine where he was trained as a radio operator and commissioned an officer. During World War II, he sailed aboard many tankers and Liberty ships in convoy, both in the Pacific and Atlantic. Larry had many "sea stories" and was a true sailor at heart. Returning home from active duty, he met Geraldine "Geri" Kempenich and they were united in Marriage on May 1, 1948, in Pine River MN. To this union, four children were born. Larry's professional career began in 1949 when he joined the Asbestos Workers Local #34, became an insulator and went to work for A.H. Bennett Co, first as a foreman then as an Estimator. In 1970, co-founded E&S Insulation Co. and was president until his retirement in 1991. Spending many vacations and as much time as possible in the Crosslake area, Larry and Geri built their retirement home here. Larry was a member of Immaculate Heart Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, American Legion Post 500 of Crosslake and the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators Local 34. He also did volunteer work for the Chamber of Commerce and many other organizations. He was an excellent handyman, enjoyed fishing and boating, loved to travel (especially on cruise ships), staying in touch with people, and spending time with his family.

    His parents, Albert and Gertrude; sisters Helen and Ann Marie; and brothers Robert and William preceded him in death. Larry is mourned in passing by his loving wife of 58 years, Geri; children, Linda (James) Frederick of Weyauwega, WI, John (Ginny) Sawatzke of Denver, CO, Paul (Laurie) Sawatzke of Elk River, MN, and Thomas (Lynette) Sawatzke of Billings, MT; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; sisters, Delores Paul of Bismarck, ND, Eleanor Franke of Buffalo, MN and Cathy Gunderson of Belle Vista, AR. Arrangements are entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Chapel of Crosslake.
