    Sharon M. Nevins, age 72, of Camdenton, passed away Friday, September 13, 2013, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. She was born April 13, 1941, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a daughter of the late Raymond and Mildred Hansen Reardon.

    On November 17, 1962, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, she was united in marriage to James P. Nevins, who survives the home.

    Sharon retired from Macon Resources in Decatur, Illinois, as a registered nurse.

    She was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Laurie, where she had been active in the St. Vincent DePaul Society and also volunteered with Bible school. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi, volunteering to deliver food to needy families during the holidays. Sharon was also a member of Newcomers and the Lake Bloomers Garden Club.

    Sharon loved living at the lake and always kept herself busy. She enjoyed gardening and entering her homegrown plants and flowers in the Missouri State Fair, which garnered several awards.

    In addition to her husband, Jim, she is survived by her son, Brett Nevins of Camdenton, Missouri; daughter, Amy Rainey and husband Tracy of Alton, Illinois; five grandchildren, Brandon and Cameron Rainey and Erika, Kayla and Miya Nevins; her sister, Susan Reardon of Asheville, North Carolina; and many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kelli Susan Nevins on September 23, 2012.

    A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 18th, at the St. Patrick Catholic Church with Celebrants Father C.D. "Bo" Ryan and Father Jason Doke officiating. Graveside services and interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, at the church. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, 2400 Bluff Creek Drive, Columbia, Missouri 65201.

    Brett James Nevins, age 50, of Camdenton, passed away Monday, October 28, 2013, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. He was born September 15, 1963, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the son of James P. and Sharon M. (Reardon) Nevins.

    He was united in marriage to his surviving wife, Kari Nevins, on September 13, 2013, in Camdenton.

    For the last 11 years, Brett was the Superintendent of Grounds for the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Laurie. He was a member of both the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Laurie and St. Anthony Catholic Church in Camdenton. Brett was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus.

    He was an avid college football fan and also a Detroit Red Wings, St. Louis Cardinals and Michigan State Spartans fan. Brett enjoyed spending time on the lake while boating, water skiing and riding jet skis. Most of all, he loved his children unconditionally.

    In addition to his wife, Kari, he is survived by his children, Erika Nevins, Kayla Nevins, Miya Nevins, Austin Payton, Cameron Payton, Jaiden Payton and step-son, Cody Taylor all of the home; his father, James P. Nevins of Camdenton; his sister, Amy Rainey and husband Tracy of Alton, Illinois; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kelli Susan Nevins, his mother, Sharon M. Nevins and his close personal friend and co-worker, David Gilbert.

    A Mass of Christian Burial with Knights of Columbus Honor Guard will be held at 12:00 Noon, Friday, November 1st, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Laurie. Graveside services and interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Laurie. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 Noon, Friday, at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Erika, Kayla and Miya Nevins Trust Fund.
