    He and Marilyn lived at 6267 Turnergrove Drive in Los Angeles County according to the 1954 California Voter Registrations. Both were Republicans.

    Catherine Ray Newell, 61, of Fayetteville died October 23, 2014 at Washington Regional Medical Center.

    She was born July 27, 1953 in Hawthorne, California to Richmond Blair and Marilyn McQueen Mayer. She was employed at the VA Medical Center where she was instrumental in starting support groups for our veterans.

    She is survived by her mother, Marilyn Mayer of Fayetteville; and two sons, Christopher Newell and wife Lauren of Little Rock; and Brandon Newell and wife Jessica of Springdale.

    A memorial service will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at The Church of  Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints in Fayetteville.
