John E. was 24 when he first married; Myrtle was 19 when she first married. John was not a veteran.

John married Theresa GLASBY on 6 Feb 1907 in Hennepin County, Minnesota, and was divorced. Theresa (daughter of Joseph GLASBY and Mary) was born on 2 Feb 1887 in Minnesota; died in Sep 1972 in Arizona; was buried in Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights, Dakota County, Minnesota. Her death certificate claimed that her parents were John Mayer and Myrtle Geisea. Joyce had had 2 years of college and worked as a clerk at an accounting firm before she died of leukemia in 1990. At that time, she and Gerhard lived at Rt. 1, Box 38, Darwin, Ellsworth Twp, Meeker County, Minnesota.
