    Gary Beito, age 78, of Las Vegas, NV formally of Granite Falls, MN , passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at The Nathan Adelson Hospice Center.

    Gary Melford Beito was born November 5, 1942, the son of Lloyd & Alta (Halvorson) Beito, in Granite Falls. He was baptized and confirmed at Saron Lutheran church on June 16th, 1957. He graduated from the Granite Falls High School in 1960. Gary served his country in the United States Army where he was assigned with the Military Police. He was honorably discharged in January 1968.

    Gary married the love of his life Judy JensVold on November 29, 1969, and remained married to her until her passing on January 5th 1999. He worked road construction for Minnesota Valley for a number of years. Gary then returned to farming with his brother David North of Granite Falls. He later was employed as a security guard at Firefly Creek Casino and then worked at the Corn Processing Plant in Marshall for 11 years, retiring in 2010. Gary was a member of the Granite Falls American Legion, where he served as Commander for a year.

    After retirement he spent his winters in Las Vegas with his son Nathan and Nathan’s cat Slinky, who would spend most of his time on Gary’s lap. He also enjoyed watching the Vikings every season in hopes that one year they would win the Superbowl.

    When it was warm enough Gary would head back to MN to be with his other son Ryan. Gary stayed very active and was always busy working outdoors. Gary took pride in making his properties look nice. When Gary wasn’t working on something he would take Rita’s dog Molly for walks and rides in his truck and both of them visited with neighbors and friends.

    Gary passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 15, 2021, at the Nathan Adelson Hospice Center in Las Vegas. He was 78 years of age.

    Gary is survived by his two boys: Ryan Beito (Rita Smith) of Granite Falls, Nathan Beito of Henderson, Nevada, siblings: David Beito (Lorelei Andresen) of Granite Falls, and Paul Beito of Arlington, Virginia; and many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Judy in 1999 and siblings: Donna Bruflat, Lou Anne Kling, and Ron Beito.

    Paul Beito, 81, of Arlington, Virginia, passed away on November 6, 2023, at the Virginia Rehab Center in Alexandria, Virginia. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 9th from 2 to 4:00 pm at the Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Granite Falls. A private family burial will be held at Saron Lutheran Cemetery.

    Paul Melvin "Poochie" Beito was born November 5, 1942, the son of Lloyd & Alta (Halvorson) Beito, in Granite Falls. He was baptized and confirmed at Saron Lutheran Church on June 16, 1957. Paul attended Asbury Country School through the fifth grade. He graduated from the Granite Falls High School in 1960. He was raised on a farm north of Granite Falls along with his five siblings.

    Following graduation Paul earned a BA in English at the University of Minnesota in 1965. He taught school in Minneapolis and Rochester from 1965 to 1975. He became a CPA in 1984, after obtaining a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Pace University in New York. He worked for Brout & Company in New York from 1980 to 1984, and for Coudert Brothers starting in 1985. He eventually moved to McLean, Virginia and started a private accounting practice. Later he moved to Arlington, Virginia where he resided until his death.

    Paul married Julie Homme in 1966. They divorced in 1971.

    Paul was a talented singer and sang at many weddings and funerals. While living in Rochester he played Tony in a community production of “The West Side Story” making his family and friends very proud.

    Paul loved to travel and traveled extensively in Europe. In 1966, he met his brother David in Paris. They then traveled by car back to Germany where David was stationed in the Army for 30 months. Paul especially enjoyed taking his parents to Norway in 1973, where they were able to meet Halvorson relatives and visit Beito, Norway.

    Between 2011 and 2019, Paul and his partner Jose, traveled every year to different countries including Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Hungary, Norway and Sweden.

    Paul also ran in the New York Marathon several times. One time he was accompanied by his nephew Rodney Bruflat.

    Paul is survived by his brother David Beito (Lorelei Andresen) of Montevideo, his partner Jose Efrain De la O of Arlington, Virginia, sister-in-law Deanne Beito of Buffalo, brother-in-law Wayne Kling of Granite Falls and many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Gary Beito, Donna Bruflat, Lou Anne Kling and Ron Beito, brother-in-law Bill Bruflat and sister-in-law Judy Beito.

    Ronald Dean Beito, age 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 22, 2018, at Parkview Care Center in Buffalo, MN. He was born on, May 7, 1938, to Lloyd and Alta (Halvorson) Beito.

    Ronnie attended Asbury Country School while also helping maintain the family farm. He married Deanne Gale Haats of Maynard, MN, on December 29, 1961. Together they had three daughters.

    His initial career began at Thorstad Construction Company in Maynard, MN. He then moved his family to Winsted, MN, where he was employed at Sterner Industries and Scherping Welding. These positions provided the foundation skills of construction and welding, which helped him launch his own company, Beito Welding.

    Ronnie took the most pride in his family and work. He was fascinated with airplanes and aeronautics and had an appreciation for Farmall C and Allis Chalmers tractors. He loved tinkering in his shop and teaching others his trade. Often, he returned to the family farm and enjoyed sitting around the kitchen table with relatives, reminiscing about the “good ol days”, telling wonderful, humorous stories. Ronnie was a lifelong learner, always looking for his next invention. He encouraged his children and grandchildren to work hard and to follow their dreams.

    Left to remember and love him are his wife of 55 years, Deanne, their daughters: Kelly (Brian) O’Neill, Deephaven, MN, Kristen (Scott) Klein, Buffalo, MN, Jennifer Beito, Dallas, TX: 3 grandchildren; Alexander Otto, Cade and Cormac O’Neill; brothers: Gary Beito, Paul Beito and David (Lorelei) Beito; many nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

    He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Lloyd and Alta Beito; mother and father-in-law; Bert and Mildred Haats; siblings/in-laws; Billy and Donna Bruflat, Lou Anne Kling and Judy Beito; nieces/nephews: Jill Bruflat, Timothy Bruflat, Matthew Kling, Todd Haats, and Troy Haats.

    Nathan Beito, 46, formally of Granite Falls, passed away Friday December 16th at the Henderson Hospital in Henderson, Nevada.

    Nathan Allan Beito was born August 9th, 1976, the son of Gary & Judy (Jensvold) Beito, in Granite Falls. He was baptized on October 17th, 1976, and confirmed on October 25th, 1992, at Granite Falls Lutheran Church. He graduated from Granite Falls High School in 1994.

    In November of 1994, Nathan decided to serve his Country and joined the United States Navy. After his Graduation from Navy basic training, as a Navy Seaman Apprentice, he received a Letter of Commendation for being a Data Processing Technician Seaman. While stationed onboard the USS Saipan (LHA-Z) he was deployed to the Mediterranean where he visited Spain, Italy, Greece, France, Turkey and Israel. Nathan received several commendations while he served in the US Navy including: The National Defense Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and the Armed Forces Service Medal. He was honorably discharged in February 1997.

    Following his discharge, he moved back to Granite and began working at Firefly Creek Casino where he became a Pit Boss. In 1999, Nathan and his brother, Ryan moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where Nathan continued his education and earned an Associates of Applied Science with Honors in Accounting and a Certificate of Achievement with Honors in Bookkeeping. Nathan continued his education at UNLV part-time while working at the job he loved which was at CCSN as an Administrative Assistant. Nathan enjoyed bowling, and in his younger years, he was in many tournaments and won a State Championship.

    Nathan loved animals and his life literally revolved around his cat Slinky. Family meant the world to Nathan but trying to get him to come home in the winter to visit was like pulling teeth. Nathan was easy going, he liked to make others laugh and loved face-timing, especially during family gatherings, holidays or just to shoot the breeze, it made him feel like he was here with us. Nathan’s infectious smile and warm heart will forever be missed by his family and friends. We love you Nate!!!
