Notes:

John Orlo on his birth certificate (no mother’s name shown). The document in the MHS birth certificate files is a simple card which indicates that he was born in Minneapolis. The card has the handwritten notation, “not a b.c.” which probably means not a birth certificate.

Ed referred to him as Arlo. The 1930 census seems to say the same although it may have been “Orlo.” The Minnesota death certificate says Olro. On death certificate, mother’s name is Ellingboe.

In the 1940 census, Orlo lived with his parents and was apparently their only support. He was a high school graduate and worked as a mechanic at an automobile repair shop.

In the 1950 census, the same circumstances apply. “John O” is 30 and an auto mechanic at a garage.

Orlo married Ruby Florine TORKELSON on 11 May 1965 in Beltrami County, Minnesota. Ruby was born on 18 May 1924 in Beltrami County, Minnesota; died on 4 Apr 2012 in Bemidji, Beltrami County, Minnesota; was buried in Solway Cemetery, Solway, Beltrami County, Minnesota. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
