    The bygdebok (Vang A, p. 59) has him as a husmann on Rødningen on the north farm of Opdal in the 1801-1809 time frame.

    Vang A, p. 593, suggests that he is the son of Ola Torsteinsson and was born 1754.

    Vang A, p. 119, calls him Kristen Olsson Hamre.

    dwfrench1 calls him Kristen Olsen Kvam.
