In the 1920 census, he and his family live at 2816 39th Avenue in south Minneapolis in a home that they own. Albert is a foreman of “switchboard work.”

He and his family lived at 130 East 38th Street in the mid-1940s.

He lived at 3222 Elliot Avenue at the time that he died. He was an electrical supervisor for Northern States Power where he had worked for 34 years.

He lived at 4348 10th Avenue in south Minneapolis at the time of his death.

Injured while playing hockey at Powderhorn park in January of 1940. Lacerated left ear.

Served in the Army Air Force in England in World War II. He was a tail gunner in a B-24. He received a presidential citation, the distinguished flying cross, an air medal with four oak leaf clusters, and the war department’s citation.

He met his wife at Covent Gardens and 14 weeks later they were married. He was the first American his future wife had ever met.

By April of 1945, his wife was in Minneapolis and he was an instructor at Fort Myers, Florida.

In December of 1964 he was elected commander of the Minneapolis chapter of the Disabled American Veterans.

Boline, Dale M. Age 94 of Minnetonka, MN passed away Monday, July 5, 2021. Dale graduated from Central High School where he made many lifelong friends. He joined the US Navy and was in training to become a pilot when WWII ended. He then attended Miami University in Ohio before getting married to Joan Chartier. He was an exemplary son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandpa, and great-grandpa and was deeply loved by everyone who knew him. He was one in a million, and a proud member of the Greatest Generation. He led a very active and engaging life that was full of adventure and laughter, and we were all blessed to have him in our lives. He was adored by each and every one of us, and will be greatly missed by family and friends alike. Dale was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Joan (Chartier) Boline, and son-in-law Ron Bermel. Boline, Floyd E. "Bud" Age 94, of Excelsior, MN (formerly Golden Valley, MN) passed away on November 22, 2023.

Bud's life centered around his beloved wife, Bernie, and their family. They built a loving home for their children, spouses, and grandchildren. Gatherings at the Boline's home always included laughter, good stories, amazing food, and a beer or two. He and Bernie traveled the world and spent countless days enjoying their lake cabin and spent winter vacations in Arizona with frequent visits by children and grandchildren. With a quick smile, a story or joke, Bud cultivated lasting friendships and was always there to help family or friends in need. Bud demonstrated and exemplified an unending and enduring care for others. A fine and generous man, he was an example and a light for so many.

Bud had a long and distinguished law career, retiring as a United States Magistrate Judge. Prior to his time on the bench, he was a partner in the law firm of Chestnut and Brooks & Burkard. He also served as Assistant Hennepin County Attorney and Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Minnesota. Bud was an extremely proud member of the United States Marine Corp., serving in the Korean War and reaching the rank of Staff Sergeant. Those he served with in the Marine Corp. were some of his closest life-long friends.

After Bernie's passing, he found a home at the Waters of Excelsior, where the staff provided him with love, kindness, warmth and a lot of really good Thursday Happy Hours. During his recent rehabilitation stay at the Masonic Home, where he passed, the staff described him as gentle and dear.

Bud is survived by children, Michelle Dehn (Don), Bridgit Fiore (Paul), Danette Boline, and Floyd A. Boline; as well as grandchildren Christopher (aka Koko), Gabriel (aka Willy), Stephanie (Kieran), Alex (Keely), Samantha (David), Mackenzie, and Jared. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Birdene (Bernie), son Anthony, grandchildren Ryan, Theresa, Peter and Kyle.
