  1. 1.  Christine Maria ANDERSON was born on 7 May 1879 in Norway; died on 16 Feb 1931 in Williams County, North Dakota; was buried in Soine Family Cemetery, Ray, Williams County, North Dakota.

    Notes:

    In the 1900 census, she was living with her parents Nels and Martha Anderson in Wang Twp, Renville County, Minnesota. Based on Nels Anderson claiming to have come to the U.S. in 1865, it would seem that he was not Christine’s biological father. The estimable dwfrench1 agrees with this. His French Family Tree only shows the three children Martha had with Nils and does not include Christine nor does he show more than one husband or partner for Martha.

    In the 1910 census, she is shown as having had three children, two still living.

    Her entry in Find A Grave, as contributed by Gloria (Zeiler) Johnson-Phillips, says that Christine’s parents were Cornelius and Martha Anderson. There is a Cornelius Anderson buried in the Soine Family Cemetery. He was born 18 Aug 1841 and died in Williams County on 1 Jan 1914.

    Her three infant children buried in the family cemetery were not recorded in the North Dakota Deaths public index.

    Her husband, Ove J. Soine, was the informant for her death certificate. He claimed that Christine was born in Norway on May 7, 1879. However, he also claimed that Christine’s father was Nels Anderson.

    Christine married Ove Julius SOINE in 1903 in North Dakota. Ove (son of John Jonson SOINE and Ingeborg Ovesdatter KATTEVOLD) was born on 16 Jul 1867 in Minnesota; died on 21 Sep 1937 in Williams County, North Dakota; was buried in Soine Family Cemetery, Ray, Williams County, North Dakota.     Soine, Ernest I. age 97, of Anoka, MN. Born January 6, 1914 in Ray, ND, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2011. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be remembered for the quiet way he demonstrated love for his family and God. Ernie was a prominent business owner of the Anoka Locker Plant for 30 years. If you had a "beef" you saw Ernie. Preceded in death by Ruth, his wife of 61 years; sisters, Mamie Pepper, Lillian Soine, and Cora Holland; and brother, Vernon Soine. He will be greatly missed by his daughters, Kathleen (Bill) Miller, Maryanna (Kevin) Blomer, Pamela (Mark) Dryer, and Valerie (Brad) Kopis; sister, Hazel Finney; grandchildren, Evan, Alaina, Colin, Joseph, Emily, Daniel, and Deanna; great-grandchild, Eli; and other relatives and friends. Memorial service Friday, July 8, 2011 at 11 AM with visitation 1 hour before at Zion Lutheran Church, 1601 4th Ave. S., Anoka.
