    Han var også gårdbruker på Kvien 96/4, som han fikk da han giftet seg med Guri. Da Guri døde, ventet han ikke lenge med å gifte seg igjen, med Anne Ellestad. Allerede i 1726 flyttet han tilbake til farsgården på Vøvle, men hjalp nok den 7 år gaml e sønnen, Ola, med driften av Kvie. Da Ola døde i 1745, ga Andris Kvien til den eldste sønnen i annet ekteskap Nils.
