    He is Ola Torsteinson (Sløtet) Kvam, I2240, in Jim’s VS. He was a husmann on Sløtet, apparently a plass on Kvam.

    Han var gift i 1840 med Anne A Skjefte (1814-1877) De hadde barna: Ingeleiv Sløtet Kvam (1840- ) gift til Hardanger i 1879. Sigrid Sløtet Kvam som bodde på Sløtet (1846-). Maren Sløtet Kvam (1849- ) hun reiste til USA. Berit Sløtet Kvam (1849- ) som giftet seg til Reina 106/2 ø. Hella og Anne Sløtet Kvam (1855-1932) som bodde på Bunde 97/1.

    Her birth year is not certain and is shown in various sources as 1872, 1873, or 1874 (e.g., Find A Grave). Her 1889 confirmation record, for St. John’s in Northfield, has not birth date shown other than an apparently speculative 1872. The estimable dwfrench1 shows 1873 so that’s what we’ll show here.

    In the 1900 census, she was 26 and had been married for 9 years. She had had 4 children, 2 still living. Those two, are, apparently, Thomas and Andrew.

    Her maiden name is Rode in Palma’s birth record.

    In the 1930 census, she works at home as a laundress.

This is different from the birthplace shown for Annie and Gustav. Thus, he is most likely Margaret’s son from a relationship before she married Weflen.
