    Han fikk skjøte av Sigurd Sjugurdson Kjerstein i 1751. Kona til Ivar hadde odelsrett til gården. Han satt ganske vanskelig i det og gården ble solgt på tvangsauksjon 18.12.1777. Hvor det ble av familien er litt usikkert, men det mest sansynlig e er at de fikk livaure på gården.

    Notes:

    There are two opinions on who her parents were, both expressed in the Vang A bygdebok. The records in Digitalarkivet purport to include Ingrid’s birth in 1758. However, they are not legible or comprehensible to any but the most experienced researcher.

    1) Shown here: Jim’s VS calls her Ingrid Vilhjølmsdtr Ellingbø (1758-1780) and says that her parents were Vilhjølm Andrisson Baggetun (1720-1787) and Guri Torleivsdatter Møsåker (1728-1763). This is consistent with p. 594 of the bygdebok. It is also consistent with Guri’s mother being named Ingrid.

    Jim’s notes on her in VS: Frøholm har to sett foreldre på henne, men det mest sansynlige er at dette er de riktige foreldrene. Men han har ført henne opp som datter til Vilhjølm Jonsen Baggetun og Velgjerd Jonsdtr Ellingbø også (se Frøhom side 611) I Kirkeboka står det at hun bodde på Baggetun da hun døde.

    Torleiv overtok gården fra faren samme år han giftet seg. Han drev også fars gården til sine kone Guri (Hamre 59/2) fra samme året. Torleiv solgte Hamre til søskenbarnet sitt Andris Hamre i 1792 Guri og Torleiv hadde 5 barn, men foruten Trond, var det bare Kristoffer (1784 - ) som levde opp. Han var tjener på Givre i 1797 og på Nordland i 1801. og Dorte (1789- ) som i 1812 førte sak mot formynderen sin Torstein N Myre, fordi

    hun ikke fikk tatt Hamre på odel etter at faren hadde solgt den i 1792. Det var slektningen hennes Andris T Kjerstein som hadde kjøpt den. 25.8. 1794 holdt han takst over gården og stevnet alle som mente å ha odelsrett. Guri, som da var blitt enke, klaget over at hun og fromynderene til barna ikke ble varslet. Formynderen til Dorte, Torstein N Myre, må nok likevel ha fått et varsel den gangen, for da Dorte anla saken mot ham i 1812, for å få tilbake det hun hadde tapt ved ikke å få løst inn gården dengang, ble han dømt den 4.8.182 til å betale henne 1600 rd som retten mente var tapet hennes. etter overtakst 12.10.1812 skulle Dorte ha 200 rd med 4 pst rente fra 14.4.1802 til Torstein betalte.

Anna (1823), and son Christopher (1830) checked out of Vang parish on March 26, 1857, and immigrated together(May 3, 1857) on the vessel Olaf, first to Decorah, IA, for 3 months, then on to Goodhue Co., MN. With them was Lars's niece Gertrude Endresdtr, who was the daughter of Anne Christophersdtr [Løkreim] (1810 - 1861) (the only living sibling who did not immigrate) and husband Endre Olsen Lien/Dalsødegaarden. Lars's family settled in the Vang settlement in Warsaw Twp. , Goodhue Co., in the rolling hills between the settlements Sogn and Dennison (near Hwys. 56 and 246), not far from where Lars's brothers Iver and Gullick were homesteading in Northfield Twp., Rice Co. Iver Christopherson Lockrem's son Christopher married Gertrude Endresdtr. The Lockrem brothers' sister, widow Gertrude Tviet, also immigrated in 1864 and settled in Warsaw Twp. The oldest one had been born in Norway, the middle two were born in Wisconsin, and the youngest one was born in Minnesota.

    Anfinn married the eldest daughter of Knut Tasa, also an early settler of Decorah, Iowa. Anfinn settled as a neigbour to his father-in-law in the summer in 1855 in Holden Township, Goodhue County, Minnesota. Then Anfinn sold his half of the farm in Iowa to his brother Christopher for $720.00 on April 21, 1856.

    De hadde i tillegg følgende barn: Kjersti (f1834) g Thomas Ølgøgn i 1852, MARIT (f1845) til USA 1869 gm Andris T Kjerstein i 1869, og Ingebjørg (f1848) g 21.6 1871 med Johan Henrik T Kvam. Han var "bel" i sitt eget bryllup, red rundt med en stokk med messingholk på. med den banket han på dørene, når folk kom ut og spurte hva han ville, svarte han; "E vil ha kjøt! O so ha e ei venle bøn o begjæring te dikka um de vil koma til bryllaups te hono Ja-Henrik på, Kvame 21. juni klokka 12", takk for bøe sa folk, og så fikk han fenalår og sjenk atpå."

    Anfind Olsen var en av de tre mennene som møttes i prestegården i Vang 3. november 1837. De to andre var Ole Andersson Haalien og soknepresten Thomas Stang.

    Dette møte er historisk. Det var nemlig det første kommunestyremøtet i Vang. Disse tre mennene hadde tidligere på høsten blitt valgt som "Formænd" for hvert sitt sokn, og da de satte seg rundt kontorbordet til presten denne høstdagen, var folkesty ret formelt innført i Vang.

    Før de skiltes denne dagen, hadde de valgt soknepresten som den første ordføreren i kommunen, og Haalien gikk fra møtet med tittelen "Viceordfører".

    Presten Stang var den eneste av disse tre som kunne skrive, den 17 linjer lange protokollen har Ole Haalien og Anfind Qvame undertegnet "med iholdt Pen".

    Da Stang bare noen få måneder etter dette møtet flyttet til Hallingdal, ble Ole Haalien ordfører, og Anfinn ble valgt til bygdas tredje ordfører i 1839. Han satt som ordfører til 1841. Han kalles "Gamle Kvamin". Som halvbroren "Søynin" var han en meget god felespiller, Han lagde også feler selv. Han var også hjulmaker, men mest kjent er han for at han dreiv kvern og stampe i Eidsån. Han var dessuten den første som drev skyssstas jon på Kvame.
