    In the 1910 census, the family was in Walker. Gustave was a dry goods merchant. Living with the family were Gustave’s 23 year-old half-brother, surname Erickson, and his widowed mother, Sarah Erickson, 67, born in Sweden.

    In the 1920 census, Gustave, Amelia, and their four children were still in Cass County. Gustave was a retail grocery merchant.

    Gus and Amelia were living at 3512 Stevens Avenue in Minneapolis in the 1930 census. Gus was a timber buyer of railroad ties. Lawrence and Margaret are still at home.

    In the 1940 census, he is indexed as Justave. He and his son L. G., age 31, live in Dubuque. Both are engaged in the timber trade for a lumber company. The senior Gustave is a widower.

    Gustav married Amelia LIGHTBOURN on 3 Oct 1899 in Norman County, Minnesota. Amelia (daughter of Edward Soden LIGHTBOURN and Susan Samantha Hason MURRAY) was born about 1874 in Minnesota; died before 1940 in Iowa. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
