    Ole took over Østerness in 1828 for 1000 spd. plus a large kår (to his parents).

    In 1835, Østerness’s assets were 3 horses, 12 cows, 26 sheep, 12 goats, 2 pigs, plus ? barrel of wheat, ¼ barrel of rye, ? barrels of barley, 13 barrels of oats, ? barrel of peas, and 9 barrels of potatoes. This was quite a prosperous farm.

    Ole married Beret Marta Halvorsdatter HEGSTAD in 1822. Beret was born in 1795; died in 1876. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    Nina’s research on geni.com claims that a Martha Johannesdatter, daughter of Johannes Pedersen and Guru Lennes, was the wife of Johannes Olsen Haga.

    In the 1865 Norwegian census, she is the widower Guru Olsdatter, age 68, føderaadskone on South Lennæs to Johannes Johnsen, age 43.
