Thomas F. Howie, 65, of Mountain Iron, died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2000, at the Virginia Regional Medical Center.

He was born July 20, 1935, in Minneapolis to Edwin and Irene Howie. He was an Army veteran and was a truck driver for Indianhead Trucking.

He is survived by his wife, Terry; four children, Dana Howie of St. Louis Park, Thomas Howie and Margo Howie, both of Minneapolis, and Anita (Tim) Einbu of Duluth; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

He had at least two other wives besides Patricia Ellingboe, both of whom he married more than once.

Einbu, Anita M. (Schuman) Age 57 of Duluth, formerly of Mpls. Preceded in death by her sister, Margo Howie; grandmother, Hazel Ellingboe; and step father, Kenneth Schuman. Survived by her husband, Timothy; daughter, Tina Giacomini; grandchildren, Madison Giacomini and Keegan Cole; mother, Patricia Schuman; brother, Thomas (Kelly) Howie; sister, Dana (Shawn) Boik; nieces and nephews.

Notes:

She submitted information to adoption.com regarding the daughter she gave birth to in April of 1973 at Eitel Hospital. Margo also cited a sister of the adopted daughter, Leah Marie Howie, born 16 Mar 1978.

In May of 1987, she was a clerk at Paul’s Grocery at 33rd and Grand Avenue in Minneapolis. She had been a clerk there for four years. She was the subject of a photograph and article in the 16 May 1987 edition of the StarTribune. The article was about a car that had struck the grocery store.
