No longer living at home with his parents in the 1910 census.

In the 1920 census, he is probably the O H Thompson, age 35, born in Minnesota, who is a farmer in Hartland Twp, Worth County, Iowa. He owns his farm but with a mortgage. His wife is Minnie and living with them is N H Mehus, brother-in-law.

In the 1925 Iowa census, he is Olando Thompson (indexed Blando), age 41, living in Hartland Twp, Worth County, with his wife Ida, 35, their sons Harvey, 3, and Melbourne, 2, and a lodger, Raymond Fisher, age 18.

In the 1930 census, as Olanda Thompson, he and Ida and their family live in Hartland Twp, Worth County.

In the 1940 census, as Olando Thompson, he and Ida and their family live in Barton Twp in Worth County, the same house in which they had all lived in 1935.
