    Mr. and Mrs. Iver Iverson, who recently moved to Montrose, SD, had the misfortune to lose their baby by some sudden illness. The bereaved parents brought the little body here for burial yesterday.

    Mrs. Anna Jensen of Hills & her two sisters, Mrs’s Iver Wangsness and Pete Severtson, attended the funeral of their nephew Floyde Iverson, the ten year old son of Mr. & Mrs. Iver Iverson of Montrose, SD last Thursday. The little fellow has been working in the garage on the home place while the car was running and was overcome by the gas fumes. He was taken to a Sioux Falls hospital but passed away Tuesday of last week.

    Mable E. Thompson, 90, formerly of Hartford, SD passed away Wednesday, August 3rd, 2005 at Dow Rummel Village.
    ?Mable was born March 14, 1915 in Montrose, SD to Iver and Ida (Larsen) Iverson. She married Ivan Thompson on February 24, 1933. They farmed near Montrose, Humboldt and Hartford.
    ?Mable was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Hartford. She was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Happy Hour Extension Club and Happy Gals Card Club.
    ?Her hands were busy making quilts, lefse, embroidery and tending to her African Violets. She enjoyed dancing and family gatherings.
    ?She will be dearly missed by her family; Louella (Glenn) Lueth, LaVern (Darlys) Thompson, Loren Gene (Phyllis) Thompson, Beverly Liesinger, Lucille Gray, Dean Gray; twelve grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, one sister Verda (Harley) Ellsaesser and a host of other relatives and friends.
    ?She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law, Wayne Liesinger and eight siblings.

    Verda Marie Iverson Ellsaesser, 90, died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.

    She was born Aug. 28, 1924, in Montrose, S.D., to Iver and Ida Larson Iverson.

    On April 20, 1945, she married Harley C. Ellsaesser. He died in December 2007. She also was preceded in death by a son, Ronald.

    Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Kraber of Guymon, Okla., and Nancy Riney of Pinehurst, N.C.; two sons, Larry Ellsaesser of Springfield, Mo., and Gary Ellsaesser of Hugoton; 18 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.

    A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Oct. 11 at Faith Lutheran Church in Hugoton. A private burial took place Wednesday at Hugoton Cemetery.
