    Notes:

    Lorraine Ellingboe, 82, of Donnellson, passed away at 7:07 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2016 at the Fort Madison Community Hospital.

    She was born on Dec. 19, 1933, in Red Wing, Minn., the daughter of Phillip and Lena (Krueger) Doffing. On Feb. 19, 1959 she married James H. Ellingboe at Fort Lewis, Wash.

    Survivors include her husband, James of Donnellson; seven children, David (Nancy) Ellingboe of Donnellson, Mike (Kelly) Ellingboe of West Point, Pamela (Dale) Kramer of Donnellson, Wendy (Roland) Burgess of Donnellson, Perry (LeeLee) Ellingboe of Hamilton, Ill., Tom (Shelly) Ellingboe of Keokuk and Scott Ellingboe (Jonathan Cabezas Olcoz) of Madison, Wis.; 17 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and two on the way; one sister, Betty Charles of Cottage Grove, Minn.; two brothers; Paul (Rita) Doffing of Hastings, Minn. and Dennis (Thea) Doffing of Hastings, Minn; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and one sister.

    Lorraine worked for several local Donnellson businesses. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, the Donnellson American Legion Auxiliary and DEC Hands. Lorraine enjoyed watching her grandchildren in sports and show choir, playing cards,  and riding her bike. She was an avid supporter of Westview Park. She was a very likable woman, many thought of her as their “GRANDMA.” The most important thing to Lorraine was spending time with her family.

    Friends may call after 1 p.m. Thursday, March 17, at the Schmitz Funeral Home in Donnellson, where the family will receive friends 4-7 p.m. that evening. A parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 18, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Farmington, with Father Dennis Hoffman officiating. Following the service her body will be cremated and a private family burial will be held at a later date.

    Lorraine married James Henry ELLINGBOE on 19 Feb 1959 in Washington. James (son of Raymond Leonard ELLINGBOE and Florence Josephine GIRGEN) was born on 24 Dec 1936 in Dakota County, Minnesota; died on 12 Jul 2017 in Iowa City, Johnson County, Iowa; was buried in Evangelical Cemetery, Donnellson, Lee County, Iowa.
