    Notes:

    In the 1920 census, indexed as Sneevog, she (shown as a widow) and her two sons were living in Georgia with her brother. Both sons were shown as born in Georgia. The youngest, Richard, was shown as 5 months old.

    When her father, Jack McElveen died in 1928, she was still Mrs. Paul Smevog.

    In the 1930 census, she and her sons are living with her mother, Eunice McElveen, in Atlanta. The boys are still shown as born in Georgia to parents who both were born in Georgia.

    In the 1940 census, she is the head of household in Atlanta. a household that includes her son Richard, her mother Eunice, and her brother James H. She is a clerk and an auto dealership, Richard is a clerk in the printing dept. of Lane Drug Store, and James H. is a car painter at the Ford plant. Richard, now 21, had only completed 2 years of high school.
