Graduated from South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard, Washington, in the class of 1946.

In the 1946 Bremerton, Washington, city directory, he was a student living at home with his parents.

In the 1948 Bremerton directory, he was an attendant at South Kitsap Motors. He lived at 804 DeKalb.

In 1958 he was president of the Men’s Brotherhood of the First Baptist Church of Canoga Park in or near Van Nuys, California.

In November of 1965, he and three other men formed a firm called R. J. Ellingwood Investments operating at 10135 Oak Park Ave. in Northridge, California. The firm’s name was fictitious and was made up of parts of the four men’s surnames.

Supposedly, he was originally to be named Thomas Carlisle, but that name was crossed out on birth certificate filing. Retired in 1989 from North American Rockwell.

Cledith married Nora Vina WELLS on 2 Apr 1955 in Hawthorne, Los Angeles County, California. Nora was born on 13 Dec 1935 in Neosho, Newton County, Missouri; died on 8 Sep 2001 in Daly City, San Mateo County, California; was buried in Northern California Veterans Cemetery, Igo, Shasta County, California.
