Her 1889 confirmation record, for St. John’s in Northfield, has not birth date shown other than an apparently speculative 1872. The estimable dwfrench1 shows 1873 so that’s what we’ll show here.

    In the 1900 census, she was 26 and had been married for 9 years. She had had 4 children, 2 still living. Those two, are, apparently, Thomas and Andrew.

    Her maiden name is Rode in Palma’s birth record.

    In the 1930 census, she works at home as a laundress.

    In the 1900 census, he lives with Thomas Veflen and Magret. He is clearly shown as the senior Thomas’s step-son. He is also shown in that census as having a mother born in Minnesota, not Norway. This is different from the birthplace shown for Annie and Gustav. Thus, he is most likely Margaret’s son from a relationship before she married Weflen.
