Harvey Charles Myhre was born on February 24, 1925, to John and Emma (Opdahl) Myhre on the family farm in Nordland Township. He attended District 77 Country School and graduated from Minneota High School. On August 23, 1958, he was united in marriage to Wanda Risting and to this union were born nine children. Wanda died in 1986. Later, Harvey began spending time with Lois Widmark. The couple enjoyed dancing, travelling and spending time together. Harvey’s primary passion was the farm. He was very self-sufficient and creative. He typically made his own tools and fixed all of his own equipment. Harvey was very staunch in his beliefs. He enjoyed taxidermy and Sudoku among other hobbies. When he was in his late 80s, he moved to the Madison Ave apartments and later to the Minneota Manor. Harvey died on Thursday, December 10, 2020, at the Minneota Manor. He is survived by his children Harvey Jr. of Porter, Richard (and Diane) of Minneota, Robert (and Lisa) of Minneota, Tom (and Traci) of Minneota, Ardis Truwe of Willmar, Donald (and Nancy Kerr) of Sioux Falls, Eric (and Paula) of Taunton, Steven (and Char) of New Hope, daughter-in-law Allison of Minneota, 23 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, relatives and very special friend Lois Widmark of Ivanhoe. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Wanda, son Ronald and all of his siblings.

Alice V. Andreasen, 101, of Moorhead, MN, passed away quietly on June 30, 2012, in Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead.

Alice was born August 26, 1910, to Thor and Ingeborg Hoivik, in St. Paul, MN. Following graduation from Mechanic Arts High School in St. Paul, she attended The Lutheran Bible Institute in Minneapolis, MN, where she met her future husband, Jacob Andreasen. Throughout her life she appreciated poetry, occasionally submitting poems for publication. She loved to play horseshoes and Scrabble, and watch the Minnesota Twins on television. She had a deep loyalty to her extended family and loved her Norwegian heritage. As a devoted pastor's wife, she was the homemaker in several parsonages, including Westby, WI, Roseau, MN, Viroqua, WI, Hitterdal, MN, and St. Paul. As a community volunteer, she served in the library in St. Paul, with her granddaughters, and later with the mailing team at Oak Grove Lutheran School in Fargo, ND.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rev. Jacob Andreasen; two brothers, Tony and Duke Hoivik; and five sisters, Burnette (Andy) Andreasen, Irene (Glenn) Gustafson, Sunway (Almon) Brakke, Thelma (Gordon) Hill, and Lil (Earl) Horazdovsky.

Alice is survived by her three children, Rev. Florence E. Larson, age 82, of Willmar, died Friday morning, January 2, at the Folkstone Living Center in Wayzata.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6, at Vinje Lutheran Church in Willmar. Interment will be at Wang Lutheran Cemetery near Maynard. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, January 5, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church.

Florence Elizabeth Holien Larson was born on December 15, 1932, in Montevideo, Minnesota, the daughter of Christ and Clara (Holien) Lerohl. She was the youngest of seven children that grew up on the family farm where the Hawk Creek meets the Spring Creek near Maynard. She received her education in country schools and graduated from Granite Falls High School in 1950. After high school, Florence went to Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. She graduated in 1954 with majors in social science and education. She was a four year member of the Luther College Concert band and was involved in student government.

On December 19, 1954, at the Wang Lutheran Church near Maynard, Florence was united in marriage to Conrad E. Larson. For a year she and Conrad taught school in Mora, Minnesota. In 1955, they moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan where Conrad entered graduated school and Florence taught in the Ypsilanti, Michigan schools. In 1959, Florence received a Master of Arts Degree from the University of Michigan in education. After Conrad received his M.D., they moved to Toledo, Ohio where she taught school in Norwood, Ohio. Their two children were born in Toledo, Ohio, Eric and Kristin. After Conrad completed his residency, they moved to Traverse City, Michigan and later to Decorah, Iowa. In Decorah, Florence was an instructor in Educational Psychology and Student Teacher Supervisor at Luther College. In 1975, they moved to Willmar. Florence was an active member of Vinje Lutheran Church and the Willmar community. She served on the church council and as council president, Release Time Director for third through sixth grade children, Esther Circle, Green Lake Bible Camp board and co-chairman, the Willmar HRA chairman, Rice Hospital Auxiliary and state board member, President of the Minnesota State Medical Alliance and as Advisory Committee Chairman for the West Central Community Services Center. In 1979, Florence received the Distinguished Service Award from Luther College.

She is survived by her husband, Conrad of Wayzata; one son, Eric (and Karen) Larson of Apple Valley; one daughter, Kristin (and Kevin) Amundson of Golden, Colorado; two granddaughters, Hannah and Heidi Larson and one sister, Evelyn Underwood of Morris, besides other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Clifford and Walter Holien and three sisters, Gladys Hovda, Bertha Weisbrod and Helen Velde.

On April 6, 1947, he was united in marriage to Idell Erickson at the Hanley Falls Lutheran Church. They lived for a short time in Minneapolis and Marshall, Minnesota, before moving to Montevideo in 1949. Elmer worked at Molde’s Electric before becoming deputy county treasurer in the late 1950's. He served as the Chippewa County Treasurer until retiring in the early 1980's. Elmer played town team baseball in his younger years. He put a lot of time and energy into the development of Lagoon Park. He enjoyed camping, fishing and playing golf. He especially loved being around people and had a good sense of humor.
 
He is survived by his two daughters: Susan Halverson and her husband Jon of Minnetonka, and Karen Ryan and her husband John of Plymouth; three grandchildren: Molly (Sam) Auseth, Adam (Rhiana) Halverson and Robert Ryan; six great-grandchildren: Olivia and Dylan Auseth, Adriana, Ivy, and Hudson Halvorson, and Lachlyn Ryan.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Idell in 2004; four brothers: Orville, Melvin, Christopher, and Chester Dalager; and two sisters: Lillian Stevens and Ruth Stevens.

John K. Lerohl of Alexandria, VA, passed away peacefully, at home with loved ones by his side, on October 31, 2014 at the age of 91. A native of Bovey, MN, John was a WWII enlistee when he was selected to attend West Point. He later earned a PhD in physics from Ohio State and spent his first career as a nuclear physicist for the Air Force and Defense Department. He retired from the military as a Colonel, earned his JD and had a second career as a lawyer specializing in nuclear regulation. John was an enthusiastic tennis player, swimmer, volleyball player, ballroom dancer and Buckeyes football fan. He is survived by his son, Jack Lerohl, his daughters, Karen Wilson and Randi Lerohl Manning, his companion of many years, Marvel Luykx, as well as his five grandchildren, Megan Keany, Teddy and Tommy Wilson, and Patrick and Lucy Manning. He was predeceased by his wife of 42 years, Ann Lawrence Lerohl as well as his daughters, Jane Rasmussen and Kathryn Keany. He will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery, by his wife's side, at a later date.

Mr. Kenneth E. "Buddy" Odegard, 72, died Friday, May 26, 2006. A memorial service will be conducted Thursday, June 29, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Concordia Lutheran Church in Crosby, N.D. Interment took place at Sandhills State Veteran's Cemetery in Spring Lake on Monday, June 19, 2006. Mr. Odegard, a native of Crosby, N.D., was active in athletics at Divide County High School where he lettered in football, basketball and baseball. He served in the United States Marine Corps in Korea. Before moving to Greenville, he resided in California, Arizona, Fayetteville, N.C., North Dakota and Nevada. He and his brother, Dick, were longtime roommates and business partners in magazine sales. Mr. Odegard was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth A. Odegard, and a brother, Richard B. Odegard. Surviving are his daughter, Lynnell Odegard of Greenville; son, Ken Odegard II of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Amanda and Ken III, both of Fayetteville; mother, Norma R. Odegard of Crosby, N.D.; brother, Dirk Odegard and wife, Kim, of Fairfield, Calif.; and sisters, Avis Breding of Bismarck, N.D., Donna Lund and husband, John, of Silver City, N.M., Sharyn Edwards and husband, Jim, of Issaquah, Wash., Pam Simmons and husband, Mike, of Ecru, Miss., and Paula Lindsey and husband, Neil, of Crosby, N.D. Services for Kathy Holen, 61, of Marshall and formerly of Montevideo, will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Wang Lutheran Church, rural Maynard. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at the Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. There will also be visitation at the church for one hour before the service.

She died Friday, March 17, 2017, at Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Kathy Jo (Lien) Holen was born July 26, 1955, in Granite Falls, the daughter of Robert and Donna Mae (Bakker) Lien. She was baptized and confirmed at Wang Lutheran Church. Kathy graduated from Maynard High School in 1973 and later from Granite Falls Vo-Tech after studying to be a legal secretary. She worked for several attorneys as a paralegal. She was united in marriage with Todd Holen in June of 1988. They made their home in Montevideo. Kathy worked in Willmar at Western Minnesota Legal Services for over 30 years. She lived in Arizona for a few years before moving back to Minnesota. She was currently working at People Ready in Marshall. She enjoyed going for walks and doing crafts. Kathy was very involved with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her mother, Donna Mae Lien of Granite Falls; three sons, Jeremy (Alisha) Lien of Granite Falls, Chad Holen of Benson, and Christopher (Sarah) Lien of Lucan; nine grandchildren, Justin, Kaitlynn, Ashlynn, Seth, Ayla, Mason, Konner, Zoey, and Emily; and two brothers, Stanton (Joni) Lien of Maynard and David (Sue) Lien of Maynard.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Bernard (Alice) Lien and John (Grace) Bakker and her father, Robert Lien.
