    Notes:

May be the person shown as Joseph Ellingboe, born Feb 1876 in Wisconsin in the 1900 census. The same person may be Joseph Elingbow, b. However, this 2nd Joseph had both parents born in Germany.

In the 1892 Milwaukee city directory, he is a coremaker living at his father’s address, 154 S Bay.

    Notes:

Not listed as living with her sister and brothers in the 1900 census.

Jim’s characterization of the confusing 1905 state census (see notes for Louisa’s brother Joseph’s son Harry):

“In the 1905 Wisconsin State Census, dated 1 Jun 1905, she was described as age 29, living as a boarder in Milwaukee, married, in the household of Mark Berl (head), listed as Lewisa (?), sister-in-law (?), with Harry A. Living in Milwaukee in the 1905 state census. The household relationships are confusing. Harry is the nephew of a Lewis Ellingboe, born in Wisconsin in 1876, and the son of a 37 year-old Harry whose name is illegible but appears to have been Franks and crossed out, born in Wisconsin, and a Mary, a 33 year-old born in England.
