    Rachel Sparr, 95, of Waupun passed away on Monday, July 21, 2014, at Marvin’s Manor in Waupun.

    Rachel was born on May 16, 1919, in the city of Loyal, Clark County, a daughter of Boyd and Edna (Roe) Williamson. She was a graduate of Amhurst High School and attended Stevens Point Education College. On Nov. 28, 1942, she was united in marriage to Anders “Andy” Sparr. Rachel was a member of Pella Lutheran Church, past president and participated in the ladies aid as well as teaching Sunday school. Rachel was also a past president of the Dodge County Homemakers Association and adult leader of the Achievers 4-H Club.

    Rachel is survived by two daughters, Karin (John) Nyhuis of Oakfield, Kristine (Brian) Colby of Appleton; a son, Anders (Linda) Sparr of Hartford; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a niece; other relatives and friends.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Anders Sparr, in 1998; parents; and a brother, Roe (Hazel) Williamson.

    A celebration of Rachel’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2014, at Pella Lutheran Church, 315 S. Madison St., Waupun. The Rev. Michael Stock will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Garden.

    Rachel’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, July 25, at Pella Lutheran Church, 315 S. Madison St., Waupun, from 9:30 a.m. to the hour of the service.
