  Notes	In the 1880 and 1900 censuses, she and her parents were reported to have been born in Canada. In the 1900 census, she is shown as having had 11 children, all 11 still living. She is a widow running a boarding house and living in Akeley Twp, Hubbard County, Minnesota, in the 1910 census. She had had 18 children, only 6 still living! (It seems quite unlikely that between the ages of 53 and 63 she would have had 7 children. The 18 and 6 numbers seem more like they’re for Philomene’s mother-in-law.) Living with her at the time of the 1910 census were Wallace, Hiram, and Stella. The two boys work in a sawmill. In the 1920 census, she lives with her now-married daughter Stella in Ada County, Idaho. Not in the 1930 census. According to Robin, “Our mother (Bernice) tells us there was a total of 22 children born to Anthony and Philomene - several sets of twins. Anthony worked for the railroad and his wife and children resided and worked the family farm. Anthony would return home annually.”
