  Notes	In the 1910 census, she is shown as having had only the one child. According to the records of Forest Hill Cemetery, she died of cancer at the age of 34. Her obit in the Capital Times said that she died at her residence from a complication of diseases. She had been ill for a year and a half. She was survived by two brothers and four sisters. One of the sisters was Martha, who, with her eventual husband, would adopt Emma’s younger son. Emma may have been diagnosed with cancer early in her pregnancy with Richard.
