  Notes	Arthur was a pastor. He was pastor of the Swatara Methodist Episcopal Church in Aitkin County, Minnesota, from 1925 to 1928. According to the 1930 census, he came to the U.S. in 1912 and his wife in 1913. In that 1930 census, the family lived in the village of Biwabik. Arthur had a younger brother, Fred, who was a blacksmith in Brainerd, Minnesota, in the 1930 census. Fred was married to Sarah. This is from the June 18, 1938, edition of the Brainerd Daily Dispatch: “Mrs. Sarah Cartwright and daughter returned last evening from Biwabik, Minn., where they spent the past two weeks visiting at the home of the Rev. and Mrs. Arthur Cartwright. Accompanying them home were Mrs. Arthur Cartwright, sons, William and Arthur, Jr., daughter Irene, and Miss Edna Orfald. The party will return this evening to their home in Biwabik.” In the 1940 census, he and Kate and Arthur, Irene, and William lived in Biwabik where the senior Arthur was a “preacher.” The younger Arthur was a laborer in an ore mine.
