  Notes	In the 1930 census, he was living at home on the family farm with his parents and siblings. In the 1940 census, he and Aida lived in Viroqua. He had an eighth grade education Aida had had 4 years of college. They owned their home, worth $10,000, at 309 West Broadway. Halvor was a farmer and live stock buyer. Aida was a public school teacher. According to his obit, he was “a lifetime farmer and stock buyer.” He “died unexpectedly … while loading livestock on a farm near Coon Valley.”
