  Notes	According to the 1940 census, when he was still living at home, he had been educated through the 6th grade. Living in Beloit at the time of his father’s death in 1977. Living in Westby at the time of Anna’s death in 1999 and Benetta’s death in 2002. He was back in Beloit at the time of his sister Millie’s death in 2015. In a letter to Cora dated December 16, 1979, Benetta says “Orland, my oldest brother, may have to have heart surgery. Trying medicine for a month. He still don’t feel good. Seems to be so much heart trouble.” In the 1958 Beloit city directory, Orland and Lorraine lived at 936 Brooks. He worked for J I Case. In the 1959 directory, he was still working for J I Case. He and Lorraine lived at 1602 Oak. In the 1960 directory, he was still a machinist for J I Case. He and Lorraine lived at 1619 Cleveland. He may be the Orland C Olson who lived at 1763 Mary Street in Beloit. His birth date is shown as 4 Aug 1922. No other Olsons are included at that address in the U.S. Public Records Index, Vol. 2. Orland C. Olson, 94, of Beloit, WI, died Friday, March 24, 2017 in Rock Haven Nursing Home. He was born August 4, 1922 in Vernon County, WI, the son of Odin and Clara (Nundahl) Olson. Orland attended Vernon County Schools. He married Loraine E. Zillig on March 15, 1947 in Franklin, WI. She predeceased him on December 22, 1980. Orland was the owner and operator of Olson’s Garage, retiring in 1984. Survivors include his children, Orland Olson Jr, Judith (Robert) Altenberg and Susan Rogers all of Beloit, WI; grandchildren, Dawn (Chris) Weber, Matthew Raisbeck, Kevin Olson, Stephanie (Tim) Weckerley, Shane Rogers, and Tom Parr; great grandchildren, Kyle, Kira, Blaine, Lacey, Emily, Tyler, Shaylee, Sophia, Ashley, Nathan, Gracie and Cayleigh; great-great grandchildren, Isaih and Brooklyn; brother, Clifford (Mary) Olson of Loves Park, IL; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, three brothers, six sisters and three nephews.
