In the 1920 census, he was living at home in Los Angeles with his mother and siblings. He was a draftsman in a cabinet works.
In the 1930 census, Harry A Eichler, age 41, was living with his wife and daughter in the city of Chula Vista in San Diego County, California. His wife was shown as “Cora”, age 36, born in Wisconsin with father born in Wisconsin and mother born in Minnesota. The couple had been married for 10 years. Harry was a draftsman in a planing mill.
In the 1937 Los Angeles city directory, Harry and Clara lived at 3854 Arlington Avenue. He was a draftsman for Pac MfgCo.
In the 1940 census, Harry and Clara and Harriet lived in Los Angeles at 3541 South Cochran, a home that they owned worth $4800. Harry was unemployed, looking for work, and his usual occupation was draftsman for woodworking. He had made $2280 in 1939. He had an eighth-grade education as did Clara. Harriet was a college student.
