  Notes	Charlotte’s obit: Arvilla 'Charlotte' Karlsrude -- Red Wing Tue, May 23, 2006 ?RED WING -- The funeral for Arvilla "Charlotte" Karlsrude will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel at First Lutheran Church in Red Wing, with the Rev. Brian Scott officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Mrs. Karlsrude, 90, of Red Wing, died Saturday (May 20, 2006) at St. Brigid's at Hi-Park in Red Wing. Arvilla Gustafson was born Jan. 31, 1916, in Red Wing. She graduated from Central High School and then worked a number of years for Citizens Security. On Oct. 10, 1953, she married Gilbert Karlsrude in Red Wing. They lived in South St. Paul, where she worked during the tax season for the State of Minnesota. Her husband died in May 1989. Later that year, she moved back to Red Wing. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and enjoyed gardening, nature, camping, playing cards and entertaining and traveling. In 2001, she went whitewater rafting in Alaska. There are no immediate survivors. She is survived by six nieces and a nephew. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel in Red Wing, and an hour before the service Thursday at the church. Memorials are preferred to Fairview Red Wing Hospice, First Lutheran Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
