- Roed would have been the surname of her first husband. According to Soren K.’s obit, Sine was a sister of his first wife.
In the 1910 census, she is shown as having had 12 children, 10 still living, and six of whom were living with her and Soren, the youngest of which was 5 years old. She had come to the U.S. in 1909 and had been married to Soren Sorenson for 6 months.
She was called “Sing M”, age 62, in the 1930 census. She had come to the U.S. in 1909 and was first married at age 18.
Buried in the Colman Cemetery as Sine Roed Sorensen, 1867-1939.
Soren calls her Sine Nelsen in the census cards.
