He may be the Everett R Maney living in Los Angeles in the 1930 census. That Everett was 28 and he and his parents were born in Wisconsin. His wife was Peggie M, age 25. The couple had been married for 4 years and had no children. Everett was a city police officer and his wife was a waitress in a cafe. A 1931 immigration service record shows “Ernest R” and Peggy Maney arriving in Los Angeles on June 21st aboard the S.S. Ruth Alexander which had sailed that same day from Ensenada, Mexico. “Ernest R” was 28 years old and had been born in Iola, Wisconsin. Peggy was 27 years old and had been born in Hammond, Indiana. In the 1940 census, he and Peggy May live at 4708 Longridge Street n Los Angeles. He is a police officer. They live in a house they own worth $5000. Everett made $2400 in 1939.
