  Notes	The Thompsons were neighbors of the Ole Ellingboe and Albert Ellingboe families. In the 1875 Minnesota state census, he was Louis Tostensen, son of Tosten (age 52) and Ellen (age 53) Tostensen. Louis, 14, and his brother Andrew, 11, lived with their parents in New Market Twp. In the 1880 census, he is the 19 year-old Louis Thomson, son of Ellen Thomson. He and his mother and his 16 year-old brother Andrew (born in Minnesota) lived in New Market Twp. In the 1900 census, as Louis Thomson, he and “Esabelle” and their five living children lived in New Market Twp. According to that census, he came to the U.S. in 1861. In the 1910 census, he and Ingeborg and five of their children lived in New Market Twp. According to the 1914 plat book, his farm was the eastern neighbor of the Ole Ellingboe farm. He died of a cerebral hemorrhage. His wife Isabell was the informant.
