He and his wife Mary have no children. In the 1910 census, he is a butcher in Waverly. His wife is Mary, age 27, and their children are George and Genevieve. He registered for the draft in Buffalo, Minnesota, as 38 year-old George Joseph Perra, on September 12, 1918. At that time he lived in Waverly and was an agent for Manhattan Oil Co. of Waverly. He gave Delia Perra, his wife, of Waverly, as his nearest relative. He was described as of medium height and build with brown eyes and black hair. He was a farmer in Fossum Twp, Norman County, Minnesota, at the time of the 1920 census. George and Delia were born in Minnesota but their parents were born in Canada. In the 1940 census, he and Delia lived in Pembina Twp, Mahnomen County. He was a butcher. Five years earlier, they had lived in Mahnomen. At the time of his death, he and Delia lived at 205 E. Woodley Street in Northfield. George was a butcher. He died of a cerebral hemorrhage. The informant for his death certificate was his son, Raymond E. Perra of Minneapolis. The death date shown is from his death certificate. The birthdate shown on his draft registration was 29 December 1880. That registration also said that he was 38 years old.
