  Notes	In the 1940 census, she was Marie Gronvold, the head of household in Seattle of a household which included her father, her daughter Anna, age 10, and two lodgers. She was a saleswoman for a cosmetics company. She was divorced. She lived in the same house in which she and Anna and Chris had lived in 1935. Marie E Gronvold of King County married F. J. Maxson of King County on 20 October 1944. The ceremony was performed by a Navy Chaplain at the Exchange Building in, presumably, Seattle. She died as Marie Maxson, widow of Dr. Frank T. Maxson. Her obit said she was the beloved mother of Ann Richmond, Seattle, and sister of Sarah E. Carter, Portland. Memorials were to go to Virginia Mason Medical Foundation, 925 Seneca, Seattle 98101.
