Melva and her husband were the owner operators of Anderson's Shoprite, Inc, in Morgan Park from 1947 to 1983. She also owned Anderson's Apparel, also in Morgan Park, in the early 1960's. She was a member of United Protestant Church and was Past Matron of Euclid Chapter 56, OES. Melva was preceded in death by her husband, Roland E. "Bud" Anderson; parents; a brother and sister Lois Hedlund. She is survived by her sons, Charles E. (Beverly) Rochester, Minn., and Scott W. (Kellie), Ocala, Fla.; grandchildren, Chris (Pattie), Kevin J. and Rachel Tomberlin; twin great-granddaughters, Millie and Maddie; great-grandson, Brady K.;and sister, Thelma Kortkamp, Duluth and Ocala, Fla. VISITATION: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Funeral Service Saturday in United Protestant Church, 88th Ave. West and Arbor St., Morgan Park. Burial at Oneota Cemetery. Arrangements by Williams-Lobermeier Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the United Protestant Church Building Fund, in care of the family, are preferred. Morgan Park is a neighborhood in Duluth.
