  Notes	Age 2 in the 1940 census. Played basketball for the Balsam Lake High School team (Warriors). He was #34. Played town ball baseball for the Balsam Lake Swedes. Accidentally shot and killed by his father. Mike was handing a .22 caliber .22 calibre target handgun to Eugene when the gun discharged. The bullet shot off one of Eugene’s fingers before entering his chest. The young man died in his brother Wayne’s car as rushing to the hospital in Amery. The accident occurred at the Balsam Lake village dump where the three Ausens were target shooting.
